Ms. Smith earned her J.D. from the Thomas R. Kline School of Law at Duquesne University School of Law in 2022. While in law school, she served as a Teaching Assistant for Property Law. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Smith served as a judicial clerk to President Judge Kim Berkeley Clark in the Family Division of the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas. She also practiced in the areas of labor and employment law and school and municipal law, where she assisted with matters involving contract negotiations, FMLA and ADA disputes, and grievance arbitrations.

Ms. Smith currently practices in the area of complex construction litigation, with experience in matters involving foreclosures, breach of contract claims, and construction-related disputes concerning residential, government, and commercial properties. She is also extensively involved in pro bono representation, including Protection From Abuse matters and prisoners’ rights cases through the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
